Elaina Repucci graduated from Framingham State in 2011 and, in the years since, has started the Boston-based Simple Sips cocktail mix company. Recently, the company agreed to partner with Horizon Beverage, which will distribute all Simple Sips flavors throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Horizon Beverage,” said Repucci, who is the founder and CEO of Simple Sips.

“Their expertise and experience in the industry, combined with their amazing network of retailers and restaurants, will help us reach a broader audience, further support our business goals, and support our mission: to bring people together and spread joy.”
This is a big step for the company, which is currently sold in only a select few stores and restaurants in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, as well as its own website.

The new distribution deal comes as Simple Sips is rolling out new flavors for the season, but the company’s goal is perhaps best illustrated through its first cocktail mix.
“Rye Not” is a mixture of passion fruit, rosemary and local apple cider. It’s best paired — as the name suggests — with a rye whiskey, but provides a versatile addition to many types of liquor without the highly processed ingredients of many mass-produced cocktail mixes.
It’s also not the only mix that features local ingredients. “Blue Eyed Honey”, a blueberry forward mix with lemon juice, honey and thyme, features honey from Carlisle Honey bottled in Tyngsboro, Mass.
This is something you’ll find consistent across these mixes, as the company uses real fruit purees, juices and house-made herbal syrups.
Horizon Beverage will carry all five of Simple Sips’ year-round flavors in addition to the seasonal products, like the aforementioned “Blue Eyed Honey”.
The products are still available through the e-commerce store and wherever you’ve found them locally before, but are now also available to order through Horizon.
