ENFIELD, CT — After more than 20 years in the healthcare industry, Darly Scussel decided the time had come to pursue a longtime passion of owning a boutique. With her vision now a reality, she and several collaborators have opened Darly’s Boutique and Much More, an elegant shop filled with variety at 287 Hazard Avenue, on the northwest corner of Cedar Street.
“I decided to make a change,” Scussel told Patch. “It was not an easy decision; however, the challenges of COVID-19 led to another passion that I had. I always wanted to have a boutique where people can come and shop for themselves, finding wonderful and unique gifts for their loved ones as well as developing human connection.”
Scussel has teamed with a half-dozen women to create a one-stop shopping and services experience, located in a quaint 2-story building constructed around the turn of the 20th century which many years ago housed a doctor’s home and office.

“I wanted to collaborate with people who share my vision,”Scussel said. “I am fortunate to work with wonderful businesswomen who have their products displayed at the boutique. We carry bags, purses, jewelry for all occasions, women’s clothing, shoes, scarves, greeting cards, gifts, household decor and so much more.”

An open house is slated this Saturday, Feb. 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The first 50 visitors will receive a free gift and be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card. Refreshments will be served.
