Lille trying to take youth prospect Isaac Lihadji from Marseille

Our colleagues at Foot Mercato report that Ligue 1 side Lille are trying to poach 17-year-old right-winger Isaac Lihadji from Marseille.

OM have spent the last six months trying to convince this highly-coveted youth prospect to sign a professional contract, but they have so far failed in that endeavour. He has only played 25 minutes professionally, but is touted by Marseille youth academy coaches as the most talented product since Maxime Lopez and Boubacar Kamara.

Although the contours of a professional deal between Lihadji and Marseille has been etched out, worth more than €35k a month and a signing bonus of €500k, no agreement has yet been found.

Per the outlet, RB Leipzig, Bayern Munich, Dortmund, Juventus, Barcelona, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Valencia have all made contact with Isaac Lihadji’s entourage.

Lille, who have already watched the player on multiple occasions, have sought to move very quickly and have now made the player a formal contract offer worth €45k a month with a bonus worth more than €1m. It is the sort of offer that has made the Lihadji clan think about whether continuing at Marseille is the right thing.

Les Dogues view Lihadji as a potential long-term replacement for Jonathan Ikoné.
