Le Parisien report that PSG are edging ever closer to concluding the signing of attacking midfielder Pablo Sarabia from Sevilla.
The outlet claims that contrary to reports from RMC, the player’s €18m release clause does not expire at the end of this month, rather at the end of this summer’s window, and even then it only rises to €22m, rather than the €40m previously mooted.
A source close to the Andalusian club believes that the deal should close: “very shortly.”
The player has himself set his heart on a move to the Parisian club and will numerically replace Moussa Diaby in the PSG squad, who moved last week to Bayer Leverkusen for an initial €15m fee.
At €18m, PSG are doing undeniably good business for an individual who played 52 games and scored 23 goals and 17 assists last season.
He has rejected a contract extension offer from Sevilla Sporting Director Monchi in the interim.
