HADDONFIELD, NJ — A group of four burglarized a jewelry store early Friday morning in Haddonfield. Their vehicle was also found near another Camden County jeweler which had its alarm go off, police said.
A patrolling officer found a car parked with the lights off on Kings Highway East at Tanner Street. The officer saw four males in dark clothing exiting Haddonfield Fine Jewelers and entering the vehicle. They were carrying hammers, crowbars and merchandise, police said.
The officer tried to apprehend them, but they sped away on Kings Highway East towards Cherry Hill, according to authorities.

Cherry Hill police also received word of an alarm activation at Berman Jewelers on Marlton Pike East and said that the same car was found on video surveillance. The vehicle is a newer black Jeep Grand Cherokee model with a damaged rear driver’s side window and unknown registration.
The joint investigation remains ongoing.
