Owning his home range was a natural fit, considering how Fowler grew up on the greens, and learned his passion for the game along its 15,000 square feet of putting green, three chipping greens, and a 60,000 square foot 50-stall driving range.

“I always wanted the range to be around and it to be open for the next generation,” Fowler wrote in an email. “I wanted kids to have the same opportunity as me if they were interested.”

The range was most recently owned by Bill Teasdall, a mini-tour player, according to the golf range’s website. Teasdall leased the 15-acre property in 1992 and opened the 50-stall range with Barry McDonnell. Dick Rosson designed the range which was built by superintendent Ed Kelly, who had previous experience, including San Luis Rey Mission Hills, Stardust and Cherry Hills Golf Course, according to the website.

“It is the perfect place to test your accuracy, focus on your wedge game, or gain those extra yards,” according to the website.

Patch has reached out to the Murrieta Valley Golf Range for comment and will update this report when that is received.
