ROMEOVILLE, IL — Nine gymnasts from the Romeoville Competitive Gymnastics team brought home 13 medals from the AAU Gymnastics Nationals in Orlando, Florida.
Gymnasts from levels 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 of the team were part of 3,100 gymnasts at the national competition, according to the Village. The Romeoville team is hosted by Romeoville Parks and Recreation.
“I am very proud of the gymnasts that have competed in Ohio and Florida recently. The dedication of our gymnasts and coaches this year has really been exceptional,” Kelly Rajzer, Director of Recreation, told Patch.

Next year’s nationals will be held in Daytona Beach, Florida.
If you are interested in joining Romeoville Competitive Gymnastics team, team tryouts are on July 17. Potential gymnasts should be a minimum of 6 years old and enrolled in Advanced or Pre-Team classes. If you are looking to enroll in the gymnastics program, you can schedule an evaluation to see which class is the best fit for the fall session, the Village said.
