MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — The major storm that swept through the Montgomery County area Tuesday into Wednesday hammered the power system, and some outages are not expected to be resolved for days.
Thousands of residents remained without power Wednesday afternoon, with some 2,114 still experiencing outages as of 3:15 p.m.
Numerous municipalities were impacted. Here are a few of the townships with the highest number of outages:

Some outages were expected to be resolved by the end of the day Wednesday. But others had later resolution dates, depending on the severity of the issue.
Winds and rains impacted trees and power lines around the area Wednesday, and flooding closed roads and schools. Communities along the Perkiomen Creek, like Collegeville and Perkiomen Township, were particularly impacted. But areas along the Schuylkill River also experienced moderate flooding and numerous road closures.
