UPPER MORELAND TOWNSHIP, PA — A Montgomery County man stabbed his neighbor repeatedly and killed him due an argument fueled by loud snoring, authorities said.
Christopher Casey, 55 of the Hatboro section of Upper Moreland Township, has been charged with third degree murder.
The incident occurred on Jan. 15 at around 6:30 p.m. at the victim’s home on the 300 block of Fitch Road in Upper Moreland.

Casey and the victim, 62-year-old Robert Wallace, had been known to police due to “ongoing arguments,” the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office said. The two men have a shared wall, and Wallace could hear Casey snoring at night, police said.
An investigation found that Casey had removed a window screen from near the front door, and went inside while Wallace was eating dinner, according to authorities.

The pair argued for a time before Casey pulled out what the DA’s office described as a “military-style” knife, and stabbed Wallace several times, police said.
First responders found Wallace about 50 feet from the residence. He was taken to Abington Hospital and pronounced dead at 7:06 p.m.
Casey was also taken to Abington Hospital and treated for a stab wound to his right thigh.
Police arrested Casey on Thursday and he was booked at Montgomery County Correctional Facility, where bail was set at $1 million. A preliminary hearing is set for Jan. 29.
