BROOKFIELD, CT — Golf Quest is now Golf Ranch.
The 25-year-old entertainment golf facility at 1 Sand Cut Road has completed its slow rebranding and emerged from its cocoon a higher-tech and family-friendlier, business, according to its owner.
Blue Jeans Golf, a Dallas-based golf investment and management company, bought the business in 2021, and had kept the original name, until just last week. The operation has been gradually implementing new ball tracking technology, interior renovations and other improvements, Devin Charhon, Blue Jeans Golf co-founder, told Patch. This month the transformation is complete.

Charhon said his mission is to “get more people playing more golf more often,” by placing an intentional focus on design, technology and service.
The expansive Brookfield site is the company’s first location in Connecticut. It joins two other Blue Jeans Golf sites, in Texas and Missouri.

The facility offers a massive array of amenities, including 66 hitting bays that drive into a full-length outfield, an 18-hole mini-golf course, and two private event spaces. There are also three premium hitting bays available for private gatherings.
Golf Ranch uses Toptracer technology, which provides golfers with real-time, personalized feedback on their shots, including stats like ball speed, apex, curve, carry and more. The tech facilitates players with differing ability levels practicing and competing across skills challenges, virtual golf courses and family-oriented games.

The facility’s latest attraction, Power Tee, is an automated teeing system which eliminates the need for players to bend down to put their ball on a tee. Golfers will no doubt love it; their cardiologists, perhaps not so much.
Before committing to the purchase of Golf Quest, Charhon said he and his partner visited Brookfield often, to understand the business’s history.
“Just spending time in the community and talking to people, listening and hearing stories of people growing up, going to Golf Quest and playing mini-golf with their dad, and now they had kids, and they were taking their kids to Golf Quest. It just fit perfectly for what we were trying to do, and we knew it was a business in a community that we wanted to invest in,” Charhon said.
The entrepreneur said he wants to create a new category for the game: “Golf Lite.”
“It’s all about eliminating the formality of golf and creating a welcoming environment. We are fostering a love of the game and bridging the gap between entertainment golf and traditional golf.”
Golf Ranch is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week.
