According to Gianluca di Marzio, Atletico Madrid are poised to sign French striker Kevin Gameiro in the coming hours.
That in itself is not surprising, with multiple reports backing this up.
What is surprising is the Italian journalist’s claim that Kevin Gameiro will join Atleti for just €25m plus around €5m to €6m in bonuses.
Carlos Bacca is hoping that this deal could facilitate his return to Sevilla on a permanent deal from AC Milan. The player’s representatives had held minor talks with PSG earlier on during the window.
